City Leaf Collection Program Extended

Decorah, IA (November 16, 2022) – The City of Decorah is notifying residents that the curbside leaf collection program has been extended through Wednesday, November 23rd. The collection program had been delayed due to equipment issues and weather conditions, but the City resumed leaf collection today. Leaves will be collected based on the previously established Ward schedule – Ward 1 (Mondays), Ward 2 (Tuesdays), Ward 3 (Wednesdays), and Ward 4/5 (Thursdays).

Leaves can also be dropped off at the City’s Yard Waste Site, which currently has open hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The last day for open hours at the Yard Waste Site will be Wednesday, November 30th. As a reminder, a key can also be checked out from City Hall to access the Yard Waste Site.
