City of Decorah – Water Utility Billing Update

The City of Decorah is currently in the process of completing a citywide water meter replacement project and a software system update at the same time to improve service to our residents. These important upgrades will help ensure accurate readings, streamlined billing, and improved customer service for years to come.

During this transition period, residents may experience:

  • Delays in billing cycles (bills will not be due until 30 days of mailing date)
  • Temporary fluctuations in billed amounts due to system adjustments
  • ACH payments (automatic bank withdrawals) will not be processed until 15 days after bills are mailed out

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these improvements are made. Our goal is to provide the community with the most reliable and efficient water utility services possible.
