Rima Family Donation

Posted: September 21, 2015 in Police Department Resources

The Rima family donated the following shadowbox to the Decorah Police Department. It is in memory of Ira Rima, who served as “Marshal, Night Watch” for Decorah. Ira worked for the Decorah Police Department from 1901 until 1932. The display includes a newspaper article written about Ira, as well as his gun, his duty belt with the original buckle, and his night stick. The Decorah Police Department is very appreciative of the shadowbox, and it is proudly displayed in our lobby. (2015)
