Steyer Bridge

The Steyer Bridge is one of the very few remaining stone bridges in Iowa. The single-arch, rough-cut limestone bridge was built by German immigrant Michael Steyer in 1875 and benefits from continued local preservation efforts.
In 2024 the Decorah Historic Preservation Commission developed an informational sign installed near the bridge. The May 1, 2025 sign dedication is pictured left and the sign is viewable here.
