About the Decorah Volunteer Firefighters Association
The Decorah Volunteer Firefighters Association is an up-to 35 member organization serving the residents of Decorah, and the surrounding areas, including Glenwood, Canoe, Pleasant Townships, and portions of Madison, Bluffton, Burr Oak, Hesper, Highland, and Springfield townships. The firefighters train and work to prevent and extinguish fires, promote fire prevention and safety, and answer calls for which there is no other established agency, such as search and rescue, vehicle rescue, water rescue, rope rescue, and our cutting edge drone program. When you give to the Decorah Volunteer Firefighters Association, you will directly support firefighter training, the purchase of new equipment, and the maintenance of existing equipment.
The Decorah Volunteer Firefighter Endowment Fund is a permanent endowment fund, meaning the fund is invested and grows over time, providing a long-term, stable source of income to preserve the future of the fire department.
About the Quasi Endowment Fund
The Decorah Volunteer Firefighters Quasi Endowment Fund is also invested but allows the Decorah Volunteer Firefighters increased flexibility to access funds when needed.
