The Decorah Historic Preservation Commission’s primary purpose is to promote the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the public through the recognition, enhancement and perpetuation of sites and districts of historical and cultural significance. Established in 2007, the Commission is a state-of-Iowa approved Certified Local Government agency.
Meetings
Commission meetings are open to the public. DHPC typically meets on the Wednesday after the first Monday of each month @ 4:00 p.m. in the Decorah Municipal Building. The agenda and any changes in the meeting schedule are posted in the Municipal Building lobby during the week before meetings.
