Notice: Curbside Leaf Collection to Begin October 15, 2020
(November 6, 2020) – The City of Decorah is notifying residents that the last day to push leaves out into the street will be Sunday, November 15th. Crews will be going through town the week of November 16th to collect the leaves, but all leaves must be in the street by the end of the day on November 15th.
November 15th will also be the last day that leaves can be dropped off at the Street Department Shop on Railroad Avenue. Residents will be able to continue to drop off leaves at the City’s Yard Waste Site, which is still operating under extended hours. The Yard Waste Site is currently open seven days a week during daylight hours.
Please contact the Street Department at 382-2157 with any questions.
(September 28, 2020) – The City of Decorah will begin curbside collection of leaves starting on Thursday, October 15th. Residents may start depositing leaves in the street along the curb starting on October 15th, but not before. In addition to the curbside leaf collection, there will be a 24-hour area designated for the disposal of leaves on-site at the Decorah Street Department starting on Thursday, October 1st. The Street Department is located at 108 Railroad Avenue. Leaves can also be deposited in the designated area at the City’s Yard Waste Site on Trout Run Road which will continue to operate under the extended hours of being open seven days a week (during daylight hours only).
